Read and follow all labels associated with the product you are using. Believe it or not, the best option isn’t fertilizer at all. Instead, it’s layered composting. Once or twice a year, depending on soil characteristics, you layer ⅛” – ¼” grade A compost.

Use this along with gypsum and some type of biochar. The preferred product of bio-char is Lescos Carbon Pro. This is because it comes already ionized with soil microbes and fungus embedded with the biochar. It’s very important that the biochar be properly ionized and bonded to some type of compost product. If the biochar is not bonded, it can have a major reverse effect on the landscape.

These three products, used properly and at the proper recommended dosage, can have the single greatest contributions to your landscape. This approach is the foundation of our organic tree care programs. It’s truly magnificent how your yard can change by regularly incorporating these products. It’s not something that happens overnight. Once you commit to it and regularly treat with these products, you’ll notice tremendous results in just a few years’ time.

For homeowners with large established trees or very poor soil, our professional deep root fertilization and soil conditioning can help speed up this process by delivering these nutrients directly to the root zone under the surface.
